Student Information Advice and Guidance
The DP-EVH offers extra help, Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) to all our students. Each class will be visited (at least once) by a representative from Connexions - Careers for Adults, who will chat about their services and any extra help available to you.
Connexions assist the unemployed and employed to seek new challenges and/or learn new skills to get the career you want.
They can also assist with progression to further courses of interest that the DP-EVH do not deliver.
Students are encouraged to make further individual appointments if required.

Additional Support - Basic Skills
Maria Foster, our Skills for Life tutor visits each class regularly to assist and support students who would like to improve their knowledge of English and Maths.
These sessions are purely optional and are designed to allow students to achieve more than just IT qualifications.
Maria will support and encourage you to achieve up to Level 2 in English and/or Maths. This is equivalent to a GCSE Grade C, but with a fraction of the work entailed. Everyone has life skills and this is what is more important!
