Introduction
Who is the course for?
The OCR Certificates in Employability Skills have been developed for those seeking to enter or re-enter the workplace.
It is aimed at all age groups, including those who have never previously been in employment, or those who are returning to employment after a break.
What is it?
It is an OCR Accredited course covering Entry Level 3, Level 1 and Level 2 of the OCR Certificate in Employability
Skills and is aimed at giving students the job searching skills they require when looking for employment.
Content:
There are 5 Units to complete.
Duration
15 hours per unit.
Cost:
Free to unemployed.

Entry requirements:
Basic keyboard and mouse skills.
Qualification:
OCR Certificate in Employability Skills. To gain a qualification in any of the Levels learners must achieve 5 units, 3
of which must be achieved at the said Level and 2 units from either of the other Levels.

- Be able to prepare for interviews
- Be able to communicate during interviews
- Be able to reflect on interviews
Learning about the range of opportunities in work
- Understand about employment in different sector areas
- Understand different types of work and working patterns
- Be able to find out about local opportunities for work
- Understand reasons for selecting jobs
Presenting personal information effectively
- Understand how personal information is presented
- Be able to provide personal information using the telephone
- Be able to complete forms requiring personal information
- Be able to communicate qualifications, skills and experience
- Be able to communicate personal achievements
- Be able to reflect on skills in presenting personal information
We also run a Job Search Workshop in conjunction with the Employability Skills course.
